10:56 pm
today i shall jus ventilate out the feeling have latey..
despite of the fact that i'm feeling slpy again after my 3 hour plus of napping
feeling very very tired lately..
the negative feeling jus piled up and i'm so suffocated with all those feeling
having been notice myself getting less focus during work..
unable to response to other ppl's questions
feeling super tired despite of slping very early..
after attending a course recently..
i felt that i'm having a intial stage of burn out thingy..
i tink it all becuz i haven get to have my break (AL) for like coming to 4 months..
Plus the fact that nurses all so not being respect by ppl
back to my AL thingy: my coming AL nida mi to work for like another 1 month plus
hope that i will still be kicking alive by then!!!
it been very long since i have this feeling sia..
does that mean that my passion for my job isn't there anymore
or i'm simply jus tired????
i understadn all the jobs is tough in their own way..
but i personally felt that nursing might be the toughest job excdept for those ppl that trying to open their own business from scrape......
nurses jus have mutliple job roles that will conflict at time when we are working..
some role that i can list down (for those who don't know)
- those ppl that sterotype nursing treat us like maid
- those ppl in anger treat us like someone that can scold freely
- those IMH patient.. kick, scratch, spit, slap and a lot more (use ur creativity) us like we are no human, yet we can't do anything, as we are taught that we have to tolerate all this shit becuz patient is sick annd they don't know or can't control wat they are doing
- we are like dr bao mu(nanny) always have to remind to do this do that, remind them to write this, to off that. it not our job, but our head say until it like our fault that dr forget to do wat they are suppose to do..
- dr treat us like their maid too, keep wanting us to do their changes first, despite the fact that we are very busy
- further more dr will push all responsibility to nurses when some error happens and wash their hands off, and our higher position will jus take it.. as all the reason behind it is that dr nida to study 6 years to work while nurses onli nida to study 3 years (but come to think of it, all human have the equal right in Sg right?? thn y are they still having this old mindset)
- whenever there is sth happen, our feeling won't be those high position ppl concern, what they concern who will take the responsibility of the incident, while they hand their report up saying that so and so are acountable for it and case closed...
- with all the job stress, we still have to work shift work, with tht fact that we are getting such little pay.. and we still have to stay back for all those presentation after my morning shift( for ur infor morning shift is like war) at our own time somemore..
- we have to be the coordinator with all the department tat the pt have. like calling here and there jus to confirm orders.. for example my last nie shift.. i'm simply calling everywhere to confirm how much will e a operation cost for the doctor, as the pt's employer refused to let the patient go for operation unless she knows the price. but can u imagine no one even there to give mi a estimated price and keep pushing mi around to call other department.
- beside all the role.. i haven include the role that nurses nida to do. those basic routine things that we nida to complete..
we are doing so much things, yet due to the sterotyping of ppl.. we are not being look upon as a profession but jus a maid for most ppl.. thinking that it our job that we feed their mother while all the relative jus crowd around chit chating blocking the way, telling mi that i don't know how to feed. furthermore i'm working in a C-class ward.. pls be reminded ur pay very little compare to the whole bill size...
jus hoping that layman can think of us as a profesion can??? we have professional knowledge and skills that even drs can't do.. we are basically a combination of all medical care group for ur information.... we have to be respect as a profession and not jus a sai kang warrior....
to whoever that always thot that we are maid or not respecting us.... u are jus a shallow person, tat nida no respect from others... jus hope that ppl will realise that nurses are the profession that make medical system works and not thinking lowly that we are jobs that clean ppl's backside or clearing urine....
